TGA Mobility Scooters

TGA has established its presence in the United Kingdom’s mobility market for more than 25 years. A family business, it has been supportive and active in the introduction of the British Healthcare Traders Association’s (BHTA) code of practice, which is approved by the Office of Fair Trading’s Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. Among the company’s business strengths are its upfront pricing policies, friendly after-sales service, and massive stock of spare parts and secondhand products.

TGA Mobility Scooter Range...

TGA currently offers the following types of mobility scooters - compact, mid-size, and large. Among the compact scooters, the Buddy is the lightest, weighing only 36 kilograms and capable of carrying up to 15.7 stones of weight. At a maximum speed of 4 miles per hour, it can travel up to 12.4 miles on fully charged batteries over average terrain. Remarkably, the scooter can be folded up to fit in the boot of a car, or dismantled into easy-to-lift pieces for storage in even smaller space. It has an amazingly small turning radius of 70 centimetres.

In comparison, the Superlight RWD (rear-wheel drive) is slightly larger and sturdier, weighing 54 kilograms and capable of carrying up to 17.3 stones of weight. Although the scooter’s maximum speed and range are the same as those of the Buddy, it is more powerful and has greater traction over grass and gravel.

The latest addition to TGA’s range of compact scooters is the Eclipse. Although it weighs only 45 kilograms, it is capable of carrying up to 20.8 stones. While the scooter also has a maximum speed of 4 miles per hour, it has a smaller range -- only 15 kilometers on fully charged batteries. Still, the Eclipse features easy assembly and disassembly “with one hand”.

TGA’s only mid-size scooter is the Sonet, which weighs 89 kilograms and is capable of carrying up to 25.2 stones of weight. With a maximum speed of 6 miles per hour, it can travel up to 30 kilometers on fully charged batteries. The scooter features full suspension, touch button controls for lights, indicators and horn, twin rear-view mirrors, and adjustable swivel seat with backrest, arm rests and headrest. A special electronic sleep mode turns off the scooter if the user forgets to do so.

Among TGA’s large and luxurious scooters, the Mystere is the lightest, weighing 112 kilograms and capable of carrying up to 28.2 stones of weight. Although the Supersport is slightly heavier (119 kilograms) and carries less weight (25.2 stones), its positive steering and impressive turning radius of only 100 centimetres allow the user to negotiate all terrains and almost any obstacle. Finally, both the three-wheel Breeze 3 (carries up to 25.2 stones) and the four-wheel Breeze 4 (carries up to 29.9 stones after upgrade) have a maximum speed of 7.5 miles per hour and can travel up to 30 miles on fully charged batteries. It should be noted that several years ago, the Breeze 3 entered the Guinness Book of Records for “the longest journey on a scooter”.
