Comments: Have had my Stannah for 14 years; I believe 12 years is the normal. Have had no difficulty in using it. The regular maintenance is efficiently carried out & is reassuring. If/when I need to replace my present one I will have another Stannah.

How has it enhanced your quality of life: Had difficulty getting up and down the stairs to my bedroom & bathroom. After a couple of tumbles I had the Stannah stairlift put in. Now I can glide gracefully up to bed & down again and do the same for the bathroom. I also found that singing loudly as I rise and come down again is not only good therapy, but I sound like the finest sporano in the world of opera! Should I wake in the early hours, it is so simple to go down to the kitchen & make a cup of tea. I could not imagine being without my Stannah.
