Users Feedback
Had difficulty getting up and down the stairs to my bedroom & bathroom. After a couple of tumbles I had the stairlift put in. Now I can glide gracefully up to bed & down again and do the same for the bathroom. I also found that singing loudly as I rise and come down again is not only good therapy, but I sound like the finest soprano in the world of opera! Should I wake in the early hours, it is so simple to go down to the kitchen & make a cup of tea. I could not imagine being without my stairlift.
Without it I would be unable to go up and down stairs and would have to sleep in the lounge, and my husband would bring my clothes to me.
This stair lift is so easy to use with one simple control, I do not know how we did without it, here's to the next 10 years of life at home.
It seemed a better option than moving home.
I was surprised at the cost – it was less than I thought.
Make the stairs easy again
When climbing the stairs in your own home becomes difficult or dangerous, installing a stairlift can restore your independence, and allow you to enjoy your home again.
Often installing a stairlift can mean you don’t need to move house – and is certainly a much less stressful and expensive alternative.
Modern stair lifts are easy to operate, quick to install and can be fitted to most staircases.
Questions to ask yourself before you buy
Deciding which stairlift is right for you can be daunting. But actually, once you’ve answered a few simple questions, some of the choices start to make themselves, so taking the time to do your research can make your decision a lot easier.
These are some good questions to ask yourself, to help you identify the kind of stairlift you need:
1. What type of staircase do you have?
The width and the angle of the staircase in your home will determine whether a stairlift can be installed, and whether you need a straight or a curved track. In a very few circumstances, it may not be possible to fit one at all.
2. What shape track?
Stairlift tracks are either straight or curved. Which you need depends on the shape your staircase. Or if you have corners on your stairs you might need a combination. Curved stairlifts tend to be more expensive, as they have to be made to measure.
3. Rental or purchase?
You don’t necessarily need to buy your stairlift outright. Rental is ideal for short term requirements and involves an initial deposit and a weekly fee. Outright purchase will prove more cost effective in the long term.
4. How long will it take?
Modern straight stairlifts can be fitted in a couple of hours. The process is extremely quick and mess free. Watch our video or slideshow for more information. Once you’ve made your initial enquiry we can book you some obligation-free surveys straight away. We recommend two or three surveys from different companies. This will determine the type of lift you need and also ensure you competitive quotes.
