How much do they cost?

They vary in cost, depending on the size and shape of the staircase,and whether the staircase is curved or straight.

Do they fit curved staircases?

Yes. They can be fitted to most curved staircase.

How long does it take to fit?

Normally, within 7-10 days to the fitting day, and one day to fit a simple eletric stair lift. Some companies offer a faster installation should your case be urgent.

How do they operate?

Controls are usually found on either arm-rest in the form of buttons; up and down. Or usually, a toggle switch is supplied to help users who may have arthritic issues.

What power supply do they require to operate?

Connection is normally to the nearest 13amp socket

What do I do in a power cut?

Most new ones run on DC power, and have a battery backup which would last for up to 6-8 trips.

What are the weight restrictions?

Usually they are restricted to 18 - 21 stones.
