Hi I have had a stair lift for nearly a year, what a great help this has been to me, walking upstairs used to be a real drag.  Now I have purchased a mobility bed even better, head can be raised, walking up without that horrid pain in my neck from arthritis is so so good, the foot raises stoping that nasty feeling of leg strain.
