I haven't looked back since! I am able to be independent again...

Following an illness 2 years ago, I was left with scarred lungs, and the inability to enjoy life as I used to.

I now find it difficult to walk from one room to the next without becoming breathless and having to sit down.

For a while I felt that my life was over. People suggested that I buy a mobility scooter, but I refused to even discuss it.

And then,as I sat looking out of the window each day, I began to see more and more people going past on scooters. And........they even looked happy!!!
I spoke to my husband and finally agreed that it may be a good idea after all!

I haven't looked back since! I am able to be independent again, and my daughter (who lives next door) will come out  with me and walk along next to me with my youngest granddaughter on her little bike. We make quite a family outing of it!

My husband also goes to the shops on it(which is a good 2 miles away!)
I haven't ventured quite that far yet...but I'm getting there!

I would urge anybody who feels "too proud" to be seen on a mobility scooter to put their pride behind them and get one!!! You will probably wish you'd done it years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
