Considerations Before You Buy

• Is your home suitable for a power wheelchair i.e. door width, front door steps etc.
• Does it need to be transported? Some power wheelchairs do not usually fold or are easily dismantled. A light weight model can be transported.
• Do you require a traditional style wheelchair or a power wheelchair with affixed seating system?

Questions to Ask Before You Buy

• Does the company offer an assessment if required; ensuring the power wheelchair you buy is the right one for you?
• Does the company offer a full warranty and visit you should anything break? Some companies will require the wheelchair to be sent back to the manufacturer to be repaired, you may have to pay for the postage.
• Will they assemble the wheelchair when delivered?
• Does the company employ their own technicians to repair any faults?
• Do they offer national coverage?
• Do they offer any other mobility products which may be of interest?
