The electric powered beds are completely wired underneath with high end motors, and the basic components include motors, frame and castors. New technologically designed electric powered adjustable beds come equipped with modular plugs to suit all countries electric access. Usually the motors are embedded right inside the bed frame, one for the back and other for the legs. Mostly the motor and if the massager is included can be unplugged from the frame.
In most electric adjustable beds, there is a mini steel frame that is completely surrounded by a box. In some adjustable beds which are fitted with the massage feature, built in switches turn off automatically when the bed is in a down position or completely up position to protect motors from over use. Most motors installed in electric beds have a thermal overload switch to protect the motors from overheating.
