Consideration before you buy:

  • Size – as with traditional beds, adjustable beds come in various sizes. Ensure you purchase a bed which is not only the right size for you, but also fits the bedroom. Dual beds are divided in two and can be adjusted separately.
  • Mattresses – there are three main types of mattresses available; reflex, sprung or memory foam.
  • Controls – adjustable beds usually come with a hand held control. Check before you buy to make sure you can operate correctly.

Question to ask before you buy:

  • Does the company offer an assessment if required; ensuring the reclining bed you buy is the right one for you?
  • Does the company offer a full warranty and visit YOU should anything break. Some companies will require the bed to be sent back to the manufacturer to be repaired, you may have to pay for the postage.
  • Will they assemble the bed when delivered?
  • Does the company employ their own technicians to repair any faults?
  • Do they offer national coverage?
  • Do they offer any other mobility products which may be of interest?

What are adjustable beds?
